For Sale: Large Land with Ruin and Potential for Rural Tourism Project
This expansive 3.6 ha land offers a unique opportunity for those seeking a peaceful retreat in the countryside. The property features a variety of fruit-bearing trees including almond, fig, carob, and olive, creating a picturesque setting.
The highlight of the property is a south-facing ruin, spanning 240 m2, which presents an exciting project for those looking to build a new home. The possibility of preserving some of the old walls adds character and charm to the potential new dwelling.
Access to the property is convenient via an easy gravel road, with a portion of the land situated south of the main road. The access road connects to the asphalt road just a few hundred meters away, ensuring easy transportation.
Municipal water connection is available in a neighboring property, making it convenient to establish a water supply. Electricity connection is also easily accessible.
The ruin offers pleasant countryside views, providing a tranquil backdrop for future residents. Despite its serene location, the property is just a 10-minute drive from the center of Olhão and its beautiful beaches. The airport is also conveniently located within a 15-20 minute drive.
The existing structures on the property require extensive renovation or demolition, allowing for a blank canvas to create the perfect living space. Given the size of the land, an alternative option could be to explore a rural tourism project, providing ample space for horses and riding trails on the nearby gravel roads.

Pechão has been the parish capital since 1593, belonging to the Term of Faro, and only in 1826 was it integrated into the Term of Olhão.
It is a small rural village, where almond and fig trees abound, located about 4 km from Olhão and Faro.
The small Church of Pechão stands out for being at the highest point in the town. From here there is a beautiful view that stretches across the entire region to the sea.
An interesting curiosity is that attached to the Church, and in the middle of the street, we see a small Chapel of Bones.
We can also visit Fonte Velha, the House-Museum of Pechão and the Chalet of Belamandil, the Solar do Torrejão, the coastal mills and the daughter-in-law of the 3 mills in Belamandil.
A small gallery was recently opened in Largo da Igreja where temporary painting exhibitions are held.
